Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Hey my beauties!

It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and get a mammogram if you’re over 40 or have a close family history of breast cancer. If your mother, grandmother, aunt, or sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and you’re not 40, check with your healthcare provider to see if you should get a yearly mammogram.

In the Black community our women are often diagnosed too late and die at an early age from breast cancer. This sometimes can be due to lack of health insurance and other health disparities. If you are in need of a mammogram please visit American Breast Cancer Foundation at abcf.org for information on how to get a low cost or free mammogram in your area.

Stay safe and healthy.

Until next time,

Suzette
