Single mom, Reba Harris from Baby, I’m For Real has agreed to an exclusive sit down with Duffy McQuire.
Duffy: Hi Reba, thank you for taking the time to do this interview me. You have a very interesting story to tell about your life struggles. Do you have any regrets of being a single mom?
Reba: Thank you, Duffy for having me. Yes, I’ve been through a lot of difficult times in my life. One of them being a single mom. No, I don’t regret having my daughter, Roxy, because she is the light of my life. However, I do regret not always being financially stable. It’s tough explaining to a child when you don’t have extra money to do things.
Duffy: Can you explain what went through your mind when you found out what kind of person Harold turned out to be?
Reba: (Reba, sighs) Duffy, I was young when I became involved with Harold. He was so sweet, promising to give me the world. When I became pregnant, all that went out the window. He became a real monster. I just kept thinking this can’t be real. But it was very real.
Duffy: After all the hurt and abuse in your life, did you think it was possible to find love?”
Reba: No, I didn’t. Harold did a number on me. I didn’t want anything to do with a man. (Reba smiles) Until Frank.
Duffy: Your face lit up when you mentioned Frank. What is it about Frank that changed how you think about men?
Reba: (Reba laughs) Everything! And I do mean everything! He is the first man to tell me he loves me and I know he means it. He cares about my wants and dreams. I know this sounds so cliché, but with him I feel safe and secure. And the fact that he loves my child, too is a bonus.
Duffy: Thank you, Reba for sitting down with me today. I know we only scratched the surface of your story. Tell our readers where they can learn more about you and Frank.
Reba: You’re welcome, Duffy and thanks for having me. Your readers can go to: http://bit.ly/suzettebooks to get to me and the love of my life.
